I feel compelled to give fair warning. With so many coaches focusing on making fortunes, I feel it’s important to be clear. I am not one of them.
I lack the abundance mindset. It was confirmed a couple of weeks ago by a highly respected coach in the field. At first, I thought “Screw you lady! I’m plenty abundant.”
But then I realized I’m not. And that’s okay.
My focus in business was never about getting to six or seven figures. Any thought of fancy houses and cars has always been quite fleeting. I don’t yearn for beach vacations or magical destinations. I prefer simplicity and don’t see why I should force myself to desire more just because it’s in fashion to do so.
It’s not a disease to not desire to be rich.
Though some call it playing small, not playing a bigger game. Whatever.
It’s not as if I don’t believe in making money. Or that there’s anything wrong with aiming for six or seven figures. I know some perfectly lovely people who make oodles of money doing what they love. It’s just not my thing.
Don’t get me wrong! I like making money and I get great satisfaction over providing quality service for a fair price. But as a person and as a coach, my focus is about creating a life that you can be proud of and comfortable with. It’s about making a living, not taking over the world.
Though I can’t claim to not having delusions of grandeur from time to time when I do imagine reaching huge audiences and inspiring thousands…but in the day to day I’m actually satisfied with helping one person at a time, one class at a time. I might sometimes want more, but I don’t necessarily need more.
I guess the point of this all is, if you’re on your way to taking over the world, you’re going to need a higher level coach who can take you through the transitions and transformations and tools that go with attracting that sort of audience and converting them into profits. I’m not one of them. I specialize in basics. Foundations.
And I’m okay with that.
