As has been the tradition for the last couple of years, SoloMastermind members have shared a word to embody their intentions for the year to come. It’s a departure from resolutions and has a much bigger impact on your mindset for the year to come. I’m sure a person can choose a word and live towards it at any time of year – but I’ve adapted the practice as a New Year tradition of my own.
I have loved to see it as it’s been spread around other groups. Many of my Facebook friends have asked, over the last few days, what’s your word?
And I’ve said, each time, without hesitation…
Breakthrough.
As I shared in the note to my affiliates from the now defunct Patrysha Publicity, (I’ll be writing to the general membership next…) Last year, I chose the word Engage. And what I thought it meant on New Year’s Eve was not what I thought it meant at all. But it’s been a beautiful, challenging journey that brought me to myself.
I always thought the whole inner-child thing was a little bit out there. But I got in touch with the me I used to be on so many levels over 2014. I explored places I’d once been with my older self – and found a new appreciation for my younger self. It’s been healing.
And now, I think I’m ready to Breakthrough…as my authentic self in a way I couldn’t have been when I entered last year. Rather than the engagement I sought online, the engagement came from my “real” life – my life off the ‘net. It came from touching base with myself and discovering my purpose.
It comes from choosing a new vision, a path aligned with both who I was and who I want to be.
It’s my time to shine, but I’m inviting everyone to Breakthrough this year with me. Breakthrough to a better world, a better place with every passing year.
I’m just about to pretty myself up and shoot a couple of videos for this site and for my day job.
I love my life and I can’t wait to see what this year has in store for me.
What about you? Did you choose a word last year? Did you choose one this year? Or are you still at the point where you think it’s all malarky?
I’d love to hear your thoughts and opinions and please stay tuned for my upcoming videos 🙂
With a heart filled with love and hope,
Patrysha with a y.
